VEGAS LEX announces a series of lectures on legal aspects of energy distribution at Moscow State UniversityOn October 4, 2017, Head of VEGAS LEX Energy practice Evgeniy Rodin will deliver a course of lectures on “Legal and Economic Aspects of Electricity Production and Distribution in the Russian Federation” as part of the Masters' School project at the Faculty of Law of Moscow State University*. The course will give the participants an idea of the legal framework for the electricity markets’ operation, the rules of conduct and principles of government regulation of those markets; they will learn to apply their knowledge of electricity markets at legal departments and consultancies. They will also study the history of Russian electricity markets, the principles of their operation and the current situation; they will learn the basic rules of drafting energy supply contracts and analyze legal acts for future professional work in the energy sector. The lectures begin at 18-00 on Mondays and Wednesdays. Its goal is to give new lawyers an opportunity to apply their knowledge to solving real practical problems even during training.
