Cooperation agreement signed between Vegas Lex and DB International GmbHVegas-Lex has entered into a cooperation agreement with DB International GmbH, a Deutsche Bahn subsidiary, for the purpose of joint implementation of infrastructure transport projects in Russia. The resolution on cooperation with Vegas-Lex was made by the head office of Deutsche Bahn International in Berlin. By signing the agreement, the parties confirmed their willingness to pursue a coordinated policy aimed at joining efforts, experience and necessary intellectual, operational, financial and other resources for the purpose of mutually-rewarding and effective cooperation as required for joint implementation of integrated development of railways service areas, including reconstruction and construction of railroad station complexes and hubs and development of space above the railway lines. The main lines of cooperation named in the agreement include town-planning, investment and development activity, project concept development, designing, perfecting regulatory framework, integrating international experience and joint participation in tenders and contracts. DB International GmbH is a division of DB AG – German Rail, engaged in managing global projects associated with railway infrastructure. The Company offers internationally acclaimed innovation in the area of high-speed rail travel and multimodal logistics hubs, advises international clients and develops innovative and commercial mobility and logistics solutions for them. Besides, DB International GmbH is the creator of step-by-step concepts of planning-implementation-operation and maintenance as a whole for the transport infrastructure in more than 100 countries worldwide. The first joint projects of Vegas Lex and DB International GmbH might include infrastructure projects under the PPP model, such as investment project Comprehensive Development of South Yakutia, Belkomur, Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod High-Speed Rail Line. “The cooperation agreement will enable DB International GmbH as a major foreign independent technical advisor on the Russian transport market and Vegas Lex as an experienced organization and legal advisor for the industry to join efforts in implementing large-scale infrastructure transport projects”, commented Albert Eganyan, Managing Partner of Vegas Lex. “We hope that shared experience and joint efforts in providing legal and technical support to management companies will boost further development and materialization of Russian infrastructure projects of the federal and regional (municipal) levels”.
