VEGAS LEX joins the First International Legal Forum in St. PetersburgOn May 20, 2011 Alexander Sitnikov attended the First International Legal Forum in St Petersburg, the high-profile event, which was opened by Dmitri Medvedev, President of Russia. The Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland, the President of the International Bar Association Akira Kawamura, the Secretary General of the Hague Conference on Private International Law Hans van Loon, the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation Valery Zorkin as well as other prominent international experts delivered their speeches at the plenary session of the forum. The Forum agenda included the round-table discussions with the main focus on the current legal issues as well as the ideas to create international finance center, to reform labor legislation, to oppose the corruption and financing of the international terrorism. The Forum has become a unique international high-profile event for the professional legal communities and best practicing lawyers from Russia, CIS and Europe.
