In September 2011, at a press conference at the Ministry of Economic Development of RF the registration of non-commercial partnership "Promoting corporate legislation"* was announced. Law firm VEGAS LEX** is a co-founder of it. The main objective of the partnership is to promote the basic principles of corporate law, stability and consistency of its development in accordance with financial laws, as well as to establish effective practices in this sphere of the Russian legislation. The working group includes the representatives of VEGAS LEX:  Alexander Sitnikov, Managing Director, Partner, Kirill Trukhanov, Head of Litigation Group, Maxim Grigoriev,  Head of the Krasnodar office, Yulia Eremenko,  Project Manager of Corporate Practice.

As members of the non-commercial partnership VEGAS LEX experts actively participated in the development of amendments to the Civil Code of RF, prepared by the Council under the President of the codification and improvement of the civil law. In the course of this work members of the partnership carefully analyzed leading foreign civil law, the Russian and foreign arbitration practice, domestic and foreign civil law doctrine, took into account comments and suggestions of various professional, public and business communities. VEGAS LEX has been active as a curator of the working group responsible for the preparation of comments regarding the general provisions on transactions, liabilities and agreements, and the measures ensuring fulfillment of obligations.
