VEGAS LEX on Complex Issues of Tax Legislation in 2011December 19, 2011, Volga office and Tax Practice of the law firm VEGAS LEX * held a round table discussion on "VAT and income taxes: current changes. Discussion of complex issues" for the large companies of the Volgograd region. The participants discussed the major changes in VAT in 2011 and complex issues arising from its application (corrective invoices, recovery of VAT, taxation procedure for the assignment of rights of claim), as well as calculation of income tax (R&D, accounting of losses, exchange difference), and development of tax administration in the Volgograd region. Considerable attention was devoted to the analysis of the trends and major claims of the tax authorities during their audit visits to the taxpayers. The event was attended by Elena Vikhlyaeva, Counselor of the Indirect Tax department of Taxation and customs tariff policy of the Ministry of Finance of Russia, Sergey Bakulin, Head of Taxation of Federal Tax Service (FTS) of Russia in Volgograd region, Yuri Meshkov, Deputy Head of Control Department of FTS of Russia in Volgograd region.
