VEGAS LEX defends the interests of ARMZ
April 24, 2012, JSC "Atomredmetzoloto" announced VEGAS LEX the winner and chose it as a legal adviser to support the dispute on the side of JSC "EGMK - Project", which is a part of the uranium holding. Within the project VEGAS LEX is to develop a strategy to protect the rights and interests of "EGMK - Project" and represent it during the hearing at the Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal in the dispute against LLC "Nauka i praktika".
The founders of "EGMK-Project", established in 2009 by order of the Russian Government, are: the State which is represented by the state corporation Rosatom, JSC "Atomredmetzoloto", and CJSC "Elkon Mining and Metallurgical Plant" (Elkon MMC). The strategic goal of "EGMK-Project" is the development of construction and design documents for building Elkon Mining and Metallurgical Complex in Yakutia, which is a part of the investment project "Integrated Development of South Yakutia".
The Dispute Resolution Group of VEGAS LEX, led by Kirill Truhanov, will make all necessary efforts to resolve the dispute in favor of our client.
Uranium Holding "ARMZ" (JSC "Atomredmetzoloto") is one of the leaders of the world's uranium mining industry, and is one of the five largest uranium producers in terms of production, which also ranks second in terms of mineral resources of uranium (726.5 thousand tons as of January 1, 2011).
It has been a client of VEGAS LEX since 2008.
