Alexander Sitnikov will take up the position as Managing Partner of VEGAS LEX, effective as of 30 July 2012. At the same time, Albert Eganyan takes over as Chairman of the board of Partners, and he will continue to oversee the firm’s development alongside the new MP. Igor Chumachenko, Head of Real Estate, Land & Construction practice has obtained a Partner position.

These appointments and changes are part of the VEGAS LEX’s strategy and are to achieve the main objective of the company that is development and strengthening of industry trends and practices.

Alexander Sitnikov has been a Managing Director and a Partner in VEGAS LEX since 2000 and has extensive anti-trust, corporate governance, as well as management of major Russian and international investment projects experience.

For over 15 years Alexander was involved in active collaboration with a number of ministries, agencies and public organizations including Ministry of Economic Development, FAS Russia, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, FTS Russia, the Association of European Business, the American Chamber of Commerce, and the RSPP, representing the strategic interests of the business community. In February 2012, the FAS Russia awarded Alexander Sitnikov with a diploma for his contribution to the competition development in Russia.

Alexander Sitnikov is recognized by the leading Russian and international legal rating agencies such as Chambers Europe, Legal 500, Pravo.ru-300, European Legal Experts, Best Lawyers, PLC which lawyer, IFLR 1000 in anti-trust, dispute resolution, energy and natural resources and other spheres.

Previously served as the Managing Partner, Albert Eganyan will chair the Board of Partners of VEGAS LEX.

Igor Chumachenko is the Head of Real Estate, Land & Construction practice since 2010 and he led a number of major investment, construction and real estate projects that were successfully accomplished.

Also he gained recognition by one of the major international media CRE-100 (Commercial Real Estate 100) and was included in TOP-10 most influential experts in the commercial real estate in Russia.
