On 11 June 2013 law firm VEGAS LEX and Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs held a round table discussion: "The court for intellectual property rights: new form - new content?"
The discussion was dedicated to the recent trends in dispute resolution in the sphere of intellectual property.
The special guest of the event was the judge of the Court for Intellectual Property Rights Sergey Rogozhin. The expert spoke about the terms of reference of the new court, proceedure for consideration of disputes in the sphere of intellectual property and new organizational opportunuties.
The speakers on behalf of VEGAS LEX during the round table discussion were the head of the Technologies and Investments Group Alexandra Vasukhnova and the associate of the Technologies and Investments Group Irina Goncharenko. The lawyers gave special priority to the current disputes over production pieces and proposed amendments in this sphere, and discussed the problems of lawsuits related to the sale of counterfeit products.
The event was attended by the members of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, major companies, public authorities and non-governmental associations.
The new court for intellectual property rights will begin its operations in the next few months, and therefore the issues on its terms of reference and proceedure for consideration of patent cases awakened burning interest among the audience and generated an animated and constructive discussion.
