VEGAS LEX on legal aspects of IT investments

During the discussion, the participants looked at some of the key aspects of shareholder agreements in IT investment projects, the terms and conditions of stock option plans for the managers at IT startups, as well as at licensing and joint exclusive rights issues.

Several VEGAS LEX representatives spoke at the meeting, including Technology and Investment Group head Aleksandra Vasyukhnova, VL partner and International Project Group head Yuriy Bortnikov, Anton Lavrentyev from the Technology and Investment Group and Alexander Garmaev from the Corporate Practice. The speakers explained the structuring of financial relations with investors and discussed comprehensive legal protection of software.

Anna Nenakhova, board member at the VEB Innovations Foundation, joined the panel as a guest speaker. Her presentation concerned the specifics of due diligence of IT projects and stages in IT deals’ structure.

The roundtable was attended by representatives of major Russian and foreign companies.
