The experts discussed a number of key industry issues connected with current legislative initiatives of FAS, MoH and MoIT in relation to potential changes in protection of intellectual property rights, state procurement of innovative drugs, local manufacturers’ status as well as issues related to the current pricing and reimbursement reform system in Russia.
Vadim Kukava, Executive Director of Association «Innovative Pharma» opened the discussion and moderated the active dialog between InPharma experts. The legal issues were covered by Nina Belozertseva, Legal and Regulatory Affairs Director of InPharma, Alexander Sitnikov, Managing Partner of VEGAS LEX and Maria Borzova, Manager of Life Sciences Projects of VEGAS LEX.
The representatives of leading innovative pharmaceutical companies – members of InPharma – participated in the expert meeting. All participants actively expressed their opinions on the key priorities of pharmaceutical industry in the nearest future as well as InPharma strategic priorities. As a result of the meeting the experts reached common understanding of the current status of legislative changes, as well as finalized the plan of implementation of the roadmap on harmonization of Russian regulatory framework with best international practices in order to supply RF citizens with innovative drugs.
