VEGAS LEX on major 2014 trends in Russian taxation
The discussion focused on this year’s changes and main trends in the government’s tax policy.
VEGAS LEX was represented by its Tax Practice professionals, project manager Yury Ivanov and lawyer Nikolai Rudomanov. The speakers covered the taxation of controlled foreign companies’ profits and reviewed tax dispute resolution, especially focusing on the most important resolutions passed by Russia’s Supreme Commercial Court this year. Other experts invited to speak at the roundtable included Konstantin Novosyolov, deputy head of the Federal Tax Service’s Control Department, and Olga Borzunova, principal advisor at the State Duma’s Legal Department, who spoke about the VAT administration, tighter tax control and other changes to the tax legislation.
