VEGAS LEX takes part in GenerationS forum for startups and investorsOn October 9, 2014, Senior Associate of VEGAS LEX Corporate Practice Alexander Garmaev spoke at a meeting of the GenerationS Forum* on structuring investment deals for startups and investors in innovation-based industries, energy efficiency and resource-saving projects. In his presentation, Mr. Garmaev discussed the types and phases of investment deals, the key aspects of shareholder agreements and the choice of governing law when signing agreements. He also pointed out some pitfalls in corporate agreements and new Civil Code requirements applicable to such agreements. *** GenerationS is a federal accelerator contest of technology startups launched in 2013 by the Russian Venture Company (RVC) and the Moscow Government’s Center for Innovation Development of Moscow (IDC).
