VEGAS LEX presents corporate fraud report at OECD roundtableOn November 19, 2014, VEGAS LEX Partner spoke at the OECD’s annual Russian Corporate Governance Roundtable devoted to the key corporate governance issues, business ethics and related party transactions. He participated in the Corporate governance and business integrity: key challenges for Russia session, where he delivered a report presenting the results of the Russian Nationwide Survey: Practice of Fighting the Corporate Fraud, conducted jointly with the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. He covered the current situation in fighting corporate fraud, the negative influence of corporate fraud on companies, the scale of the problem and businesses’ attitude to it. He discussed anti-fraud activities, ways to expose and investigate such cases, enforcement of anticorruption policies and improvement of the legal framework.
