VEGAS LEX expert speaks at Market Council Partnership-sponsored workshop on wholesale electricity markets operation

On March 11, 2016, Senior associate of VEGAS LEX Energy practice Yuriy Tatarinov gave a series of lectures at the “Market Council”* Partnership-sponsored workshop, Retail electricity markets, for managers and specialists of guaranteed power suppliers, utility companies and consumers on retail electricity markets.

Mr. Tatarinov’s presentation focused on managing accounts receivable on the retail electricity markets. He explained the pattern and the general organizational issues concerning debt management on the retail electricity markets, thoroughly discussed the practice of limiting power supply, drafting of acts for technological and (or) emergency reservations and termination of the power supply contract.

The participants also discussed the regulatory framework for the retail electricity markets operation, retail pricing policies, the regulatory control mechanisms for reliable and quality power supply, improvement of the control system for reliable and quality power supply services, and how a guaranteed supplier’s sales markup is formed.
