VEGAS LEX discusses deoffshorization problems and solutions at Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry Roundtable

On October 27, 2015, the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a roundtable on problems caused by the outflow of capital from Russia and ways to combat money laundering.

On October 27, 2015 VEGAS LEX Tax practice associate Nikolay Rudomanov offered a detailed presentation of the key issues put up for discussion at the Roundtable “Deoffshorization: Problems and Solutions” organized by the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The participants analyzed the major changes in the tax laws of Cyprus and Russia; cited the opportunities and risks that arise from voluntary declaration of capital in accordance with the capital amnesty bill; discussed the global trends in tax administration that are acceptable for Russian companies and the benefits of international exchange of information as well as other issues.

The event was attended by representatives of governments, heads of Russian and foreign companies operating in the Russian market, and others.
