VEGAS LEX discusses public procurement practices and regulation
VEGAS LEX has organized a roundtable on public procurement procedures and development of government regulation in this sphere.
On October 27, 2014, the VEGAS LEX law firm held a roundtable Public Procurement: Analyzing 2014 Practices and Regulation Development.
The event was organized by the VEGAS LEX Commercial Group including the group head, and associate Julia Polyakova. Deputy Head of the Federal Anti-monopoly Service Department for Control over State Procurement Artyom Lobov participated as a special guest speaker.
The participants discussed the best public and corporate procurement practices and the shaping of legal practice involving major procurement issues such as the conclusion, amendment, and termination of government contracts, the pricing formulas used and liabilities resulting from non-performance of such contracts. They also considered the FAS practice of dealing with procurement issues in compliance with the key federal laws on procurement (44-FZ and 223-FZ) and other important issues.
The event was attended by chief lawyers and procurement directors of major Russian and foreign companies, such as Johnson & Johnson, Philips, Aeroflot, Gazprom Mezhregiongaz, GTLK, Moscow Helicopter Plant, and Pharmstandard.
